(She/Her/Hers)
RSW, CEDS-C, CDWF
Lauralyn is the Clinical Program Director at BridgePoint Center for Eating Disorder Recovery. She is a city girl gone country, moving from Calgary to rural Saskatchewan and in the process reclaiming her muchness. In her clinical work, she works from a place of interconnection, understanding that our distress and our strategies for coping are informed by our surroundings, relationships and social context. She is motivated by people having a true sense of belonging and strive to provide a safe (and brave) place for people to have courageous conversations, share their stories of strength and struggle, and create more empowering practices to transform their lives.

As a counsellor, I aim to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment in which clients feel secure and validated. I believe in meeting clients where they are at, taking the time to understand context and struggles in order to utilize an individualized approach in counselling to best fit therapeutic goals and current needs. My goal is to walk alongside clients on their healing journey while providing coping tools and supports for whatever life may throw their way. I utilize a resiliency-based, strength-based approach and trauma-informed practices with all clients. I employ compassion and curiosity in the counselling setting to assist clients in self-understanding, growth, and acceptance. I believe in a holistic approach to wellness.

I’m a nutritionist who combines science, holistic nutrition, and eating disorder recovery coaching to create a unique experience for participants. I am also fully recovered from an eating disorder, which I believe is an important part of what I bring to the coaching relationship.
I take a client-centered approach where you set the direction and we both bring our expertise to co-create your next nutrition experiment. If it doesn’t work, you are not the problem - we change the experiment and try something different!
Please note that nutrition coaching is available to current BridgePoint Alumni only. (You are current Alumni if you have completed a minimum of a retreat within the last 5 years.)
